Again, obvious title here...feel free to go on about some of the musicians that you love (and why you love them if you so choose), or that help inspire your writing, or the genres that you listen to most often.
My list-a mix of some classic artists and some newer stuff: U2, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Vampire Weekend, Oingo Boingo, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers...
...and I also have something of a thing for music from Australia/New Zealand. The Finn brothers, Neil and Tim, are a couple of my absolute favorite singer/songwriters-their work with the bands Split Enz and Crowded House is creative, eccentric, and they write some of the best pop songs ever. Other artists I love from that area of the world include Bic Runga, Kimbra, and Gotye. I don't know what it is about the music from that area, but it intrigues me.
